Monthly Archives: August 2014

Day 232 – August 11, 2014 – Supermoon.

Finally figured out how to capture the moon in all of its glory.  However, my shot behind the oak tree in our yard doesn’t do it justice at all.

Day 231 – August 10, 2014 – Sierra’s Smile.

My recent learning in photo editing came in handy on this one!  Sierra had just enjoyed some pureed peas.  Still, precious smile was worth the work!

Day 230 – August 9, 2014 – Pure Light in Annadel.

Can’t wait to finish editing these!  Gorgeous family in glowing light!

Day 229 – August 8, 2014 – Light Captured by a Spider.

I am always looking for new ways to capture the light.  I saw this beautiful spiderweb in the yard, waited for the light, and then shot this after spraying the web with water.  Totally different than anything else I’ve shot, fun to play with light.

Day 228 – August 7, 2014 – Rachael.

Had the honor of taking a headshot for a friend this evening.  This is my favorite fun shot.  I’ll let her post the “real” ones!  What an amazing smile on an amazing, inspiring woman.

Day 227 – August 6, 2014 – Sonoma County Fair.
All from my iPhone camera and some fun editing. Fun evening!

Day 226, August 5, 2014 – Pinkletoes Workshop, Day 3.

Maternity shoot in downtown Mendocino, then out to the bluffs.  Urban shooting is new for me, but I’m getting the hang of it!

Day 225 – August 4, 2014 – Pinkletoes Workshop, Day 2 again.

Fun with this gorgeous family in their home.  Pigs, chickens, art, music, love, charisma; this family has it all!  Poses?  Heck no! Just family life and amazing light….

Day 224 – August 3, 2014 – Pinkletoes Workshop, Day 2.

Morning newborn shoot with adorable Raya and family.  Learned about using the natural light inside a home to accentuate the beauty of new life.

Day 223 – August 2, 2014 – Pinkletoes Workshop, Day 1.

Mendocino is gorgeous anytime, but this weekend, I got to see the beauty with three gifted photographers.  We stayed right where these images were taken, and we learned so much!
